James Rhodes in conversation at Southbank Centre's Why? festival

This Saturday, James Rhodes will join Jude Kelly, artistic director of the Southbank Centre, for an 'In Conversation With...' session all about the Don't Stop The Music campaign.

The discussion is one of the keynote events of Why? What's Happening For The Young, a new Southbank Centre festival dedicated to issues concerning young people.

James will discuss his aims for the Don't Stop The Music campaign, his next step now the instrument amnesty is over and the importance of learning music at a young age – before taking questions from the audience.

Other speakers taking part in the festival, which runs from Thursday 23 October 2014 to Sunday 26 October 2014, include Camila Batmanghelidjh, founder and director of Kids Company; Dr Maggie Atkinson, the Children's Commissioner for England; actor and director Femi Oyeniran; and Amal Azzudin, one of the original Glasgow Girls campaigners, alongside young people from Kids Company.

A Saturday Day Pass is £1 for under 18s, free for teachers and £12 for over-18s. Tickets can be booked on the Southbank Centre website.
