YodelDirect
Delivering parcels that make a difference

Music can put a smile on your face, bring people together, help to define who we are and assist learning.

That’s why at Yodel we’re supporting James Rhodes and his Don’t Stop the Music Instrument Amnesty. We believe music has a huge role in our lives and we want to give everyone the opportunity to learn how to play.

YodelDirect is the consumer parcel collection and delivery service from Yodel, the UK’s leading independent parcel carrier. Our drivers and sorters will be transporting instruments generously donated to the Amnesty, to safely reach primary schools across the UK.

This is a substantial project with over 700 Oxfam shops across the UK set up to receive the donations and 150 primary schools selected to benefit from them. As Yodel handles 145 million parcels every year for the UK’s leading retailers, we believe we’re the natural partner for this project.

Yodel already has an established link with education, delivering millions of parcels of educational materials to schools, colleges and students each year.

During the Amnesty, which will run from 8 September to 17 October, Yodel’s drivers will be collecting donations from participating Oxfam shops across the UK. The instruments will then be processed through our sort centres before being delivered to the Amnesty’s headquarters, where they will be assessed and then retuned, repaired and refurbished. Once they’ve been repackaged and labelled we will then collect the instruments and deliver them to the primary schools taking part in the scheme, to give their pupils the opportunity to learn to play an instrument.
