Oxfam is supporting the instrument amnesty because we believe in the power of music to change lives around the world.

Every year, music raises thousands of pounds for people living in poverty.

• We have over 700 shops nationwide that sell second-hand music and instruments and have expert volunteers on hand to help. Find your local shop.

We know that through music it is possible to create lasting change. We can provide clean water, be the first on the scene in humanitarian disasters, and give families the tools they need to improve their lives. Oxfam hopes the instrument amnesty will inspire young musicians to use their talent to make great things happen.

Get involved and Tag Your Bag

If you’ve been inspired to donate more than just your instrument, you can do so in any Oxfam store or using one of Oxfam’s donation banks. Oxfam can then turn your gifts into cash to fund its vital work fighting poverty around the world. Find your nearest shop or donation bank.
